Saline schools have a lot to offer kids academically, socially, and in extra-curricular activities no matter what their interests may be.  Some of my closest friends to this day are people I grew up with and went to school with in Saline.  I am thankful for all the great times, opportunities, and top-notch education that I received while attending Saline Area Schools.  It prepared me to be successful in obtaining my undergrad and graduate degrees, and some of the lessons I was taught at SAS are still applied today.

Having grown up in Saline and then to have moved back as an adult, you realize what a special place Saline is and what a great place full of opportunities it is for kids.  It is still a close knit community that cares about its kids and the quality of education they receive.

I did not have a choice as a kid.  However, as adults my wife and I chose to move back to Saline for three main reasons:

  • Family
  • School
  • Community

While we did not know it at the time, these factors turned out to be incredibly important as our son was diagnosed with Autism early in his life.  Therefore, we have seen Saline Schools from a different perspective than we ever imagined, and Connor’s school started at the age of 2 ½.  Similar to my experiences as a student, the SAS special education program has met or exceeded our expectations in providing our son a great education with very kind and caring people along the way.

We are very thankful for all the schools have done for our family.

I have many great memories of growing up in Saline and going through the school system there. At one time my graduating class held the distinction of attending every school building in the district during our 13 years in school
